Save Time & Money with Movie Reviews - Entertainment

You may be surprised to hear this but reading movie reviews and movie news can often help you to avoid wasting time and money watching bad movies. Have you ever taken the whole family out to the theatre to watch the latest kids movie and come away feeling like it was a total waste of time and money? Your kids had come home from school all excited with the news that the kids movie that they had been wanting to see was finally released in the theaters. You made plans, bought the tickets for the weekend and the family counted the days and the minutes till it was time to head on over to the theater. Finally, you are at the theater, everyones got their popcorn, pizza and coke and every ones set to settle down and enjoy the movie!

Unfortunately, the movie wasnt quite as great as movie reviews that you had heard from the kids. Even they were disappointed. On the way home you do a quick calculation of how much you spent on the tickets for the whole family to see the movie. You factor in the gas to get there and back, the parking and the treats and it al adds up to a shocking total - all of this for a movie that nobody enjoyed. What a waste of money, not to mention the time. You regret not taking the time to read the movie reviews of that particular film.

Movie news and movie reviews give you a pretty accurate picture of what to expect from any movie. This is quite different from just looking at the posters advertising the movie or reading the promotional material of the movie, both of which are published by the producers of the movie and are so obviously biased. Movie reviews on the other hand are written by independent viewers who express their true opinion about the movie. If the movie in question is bad, they are not afraid to say so and if it is good, they are only to happy to say it is.

Reading movie reviews and movie news allow you to make a better decision about whether or not it is worth going to the theater to watch the movie. Very often, a big production house will splash out thousands of dollars on promoting and marketing their movie with large ads and tons of freebies. That generates enough interest amongst the movie going public and everybody queues up to watch the movie as soon as it hits the theaters. Surprisingly, almost 90% of the viewers would have made their decision based on the promos itself. Just about 10% would have even take the trouble to read the movie news or movie reviews to see if the movie was really worth going to watch.

These days, movie reviews and movie news are easily available at several websites online. Taking a few minutes to check out what other people are saying about the latest releases can help you save a lot of time and money.
