Pitt plays a detective in charge of tracking Spacey down before he kills again. Pitt trudges through the corpses of the first six sins and finds himself in front of a door he doesn't want to open. Overall, the movie was written very well. The conflict and subplots were developed very thoroughly adding further intensity to the movie. The ending of the movie is by itself worth the price of admission. Spacey and Pitt's performances as the hero-villain tag team didn't hurt the movie's ratings either. Pitt's performance definitely propelled him to the next level of movie stardom. This movie also had the same effect on Kevin Spacey's career.
"Spy Game" is about a senior CIA agent, played by Robert Redford, trying to free his recently captured protg, played by Brad Pitt. Redford reminisces about training Pitt and how he could have possibly gotten involved in the mess he is in. Pitt delivers a great performance as Tom Bishop, Redford's protg, and shows yet another side of his dramatic versatility. This movie is a must see Pitt performance and Robert Redford isn't too bad in it either. This thriller will leave you on the edge of your seat until the end. Pitt's performance solidified his status as a legit movie star that is here to stay.
Brad Pitt is a terrific actor and has delivered several timeless performances. He currently is listed on the top 50 actors of all-time list and will only move up the list as time goes by. He has proven he can deliver in the hunky, handsome role and these movies have shown that he can deliver a good character performance as well.
